99 for 1 Ministries exists to serve the under-loved in our city and beyond and to train others to do the same! We are a PRIVATE, NON-PROFIT Ministry which means that we do NOT receive ANY money from any branch of government (local, state or federal).
Our ministry efforts are supported and sustained ONLY through donations of private individuals and corporate partnerships.
You can read more about Transitions and learn how you can help us help others by downloading the following booklet:
Our founder and president, Pastor Lonnie, has been involved in outreach ministries for the past 28 years and has served as the Outreach Pastor for four churches during this time (in areas as diverse as California to Alabama).
We seek to live out James 2:14-17 in our daily lives so that God is glorified.
99 for 1 Ministries is a non-denominational, para-church ministry. This means that we work beyond the borders of denominational lines with anyone who is considered to be a traditional and orthodox Christian.
In part this means that anyone who is an official volunteer with us has to believe in the following:
We believe in the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God and without error in the original writings.
There is one eternal God who, though a single essence, exists in three equal persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit and these three constitute a Trinity. We vehemently deny any form of polytheism or modalism.
God the Son became flesh in the person of Jesus Christ, who was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, and who is true God (deity) and true man (humanity). He died for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are declared righteous on the basis of His shed blood.
The physical body of Christ was resurrected on the third day following His burial and, afterwards, He ascended into heaven where He serves as high priest, intercessor, and advocate in our behalf with the Father.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is a person of the godhead. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates and seals the believer, sets the believer apart to a holy life, baptizes the believer into the body of Christ, and permanently indwells the believer.
Man (both men and women) was created in the image of God, but he sinned and consequently experienced physical death (separation of the soul from the body) and spiritual death (separation from God). The consequences of this sin affect the entire human race. All humans are born with a sinful nature, and are in need of salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus the Christ.
Whoever believes in Jesus Christ as his Savior becomes a child of God. This salvation is not the result of any human effort or merit.
Heaven (the third Heaven) is the dwelling place of God and for those who go there (everyone who has placed their faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior) it is a place of everlasting joy and purpose.
God answers prayers. He does not simply sit idly by while His creation goes on it’s merry (or sad) way.
The church, in its invisible form, is universal, the true body of Christ. All believers, from the day of Pentecost until the church is caught up to heaven in the rapture, are members of the universal church, regardless of denominational affiliation. Christ ordained the ordinances of water baptism and the Lord’s supper until He returns.
All people will be resurrected. Believers are resurrected to enjoy life with God. Unbelievers are resurrected to experience judgment and then eternal suffering apart from God.
Satan is a real person and, when given the opportunity, he attempts to defeat Christians. However, Christians can overcome Satan’s schemes by applying scriptural truth (resist the devil and flee from sin).
Hell is a real and those who enter into it do so consciously. It not a place of annihilation nor is it temporary… it is eternal torment.
The church is to make Christ known to the whole world. Every member of the body shares in this purpose. In relation to the world, believers are sent by Christ to communicate to unsaved people that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ.
All believers are to give attention to becoming spiritually mature in order to function in the body of Christ and bring glory to God. The Bible emphasizes the godly exercise of one’s spiritual gifts.
